General Assumptions

• Hotels: Mainly in Sliema / St Julian’s / Valletta area

• Transport: By private coach for group activities

• Walking: Where practical (especially in Valletta)

Wednesday 10 June – Arrival Day

• All day: Arrivals at Malta International Airport. Individual transfers or optional shared transfers (to be coordinated).

• Evening (Optional & Informal):

  • 19:30 onwards: Informal welcome drink / light dinner

  • Suggested area: Valletta Waterfront or Sliema

  • Transport: On foot or short taxi rides

Thursday 11 June – Valletta & Maltese History

• 08:45: Coach pick-up from main hotel points

• 09:30 – 12:30 | Guided Walking Tour of Valletta

  • St John’s Co-Cathedral

  • Upper Barrakka Gardens

  • Historic auberges and fortifications

  • Focus on Malta’s political, cultural, and strategic history

  • Transport: Coach to Valletta; walking within the city (comfortable footwear advised)

• 12:30 – 14:00 | Lunch

  • Free time in Valletta or optional group lunch (pre-booked restaurant)

• 14:15 – 16:30 | Afternoon Visit

  • Option A: Grand Master’s Palace

  • Option B: Fort St Elmo / National Museum of Archaeology

• 17:00: Coach return to hotels

• 19:30 – 22:00 | Group Dinner

  • Traditional Maltese restaurant in Valletta

  • Transport: Coach to Valletta and return, or taxis for those staying centrally

Friday 12 June – Masonic Focus Day

Morning: Free Time

• Free time for all participants

• Optional suggestions: Harbour cruise, shopping in Sliema, or beach/hotel leisure

Friday Evening: Split Programme

A) Brethren’s Programme – Masonic Meeting

• 17:30: Coach pick-up from hotels to Malta Masonic Temple

• 18:15 – 19:45 | Masonic Meeting

  • Venue: Malta Masonic Temple – Halls 6 & 7

  • Hosted Lodge: Maltese Lodge

  • Lecture / Speaker: To be confirmed

• 19:45 – 22:00 | Festive Board

  • Formal dinner with Maltese brethren

  • Venue: Temple dining facilities or nearby restaurant

• 22:15: Coach return to hotels

B) Separate Spouse Programme – Friday Evening

• 17:45: Coach pick-up from hotels (same points as brethren)

• 18:30 – 20:00 | Valletta by Evening

  • Leisurely guided walk through Valletta at sunset

  • Upper Barrakka Gardens (evening views of Grand Harbour)

  • Coffee or prosecco stop at a panoramic café

  • Transport: Coach to Valletta; gentle walking within the city

• 20:00 – 22:00 | Dinner

  • Reserved dinner at a characteristic Valletta restaurant

  • Informal, relaxed atmosphere (reasonably priced Mediterranean/Maltese cuisine)

• 22:15: Coach return to hotels (Option to meet brethren afterwards informally if desired)

Saturday 13 June – Panoramic Island Tour & Sea

• 08:30: Coach pick-up from hotels

• 09:30 – 12:30 | Panoramic Island Tour

  • Mdina (guided visit)

  • Rabat

  • Dingli Cliffs

  • Scenic countryside stops

• 12:45 – 15:30 | Seaside Stop

  • Free time by the sea

  • Swimming (weather permitting)

  • Light lunch available locally

• 16:00 – 17:00: Coach transfer along the coast

• 19:30 – 22:00 | Fish Dinner

  • Traditional seaside fish restaurant

  • Location: Marsaxlokk / Għar Lapsi / St Paul’s Bay

• 22:15: Return to hotels by coach

• Afternoon: Departures and start of extended stays for brethren and spouses remaining in Malta
